This new book from Group Publishing is recommended because of the dual emphasis on prayer and missions. It is an eight-week Bible Study including prayer experiences for women. It’s designed to be used with small groups, prayer cells or your women’s ministry. This book begins with 14 very colorful pages that highlight the eight chapter themes, which include the countries of Uganda, India, Haiti, Thailand, Bolivia and Afghanistan. The focus of each lesson is on the issues of adversity, poverty and government corruption present in these countries.
In each session, you will find a short Bible study, prayer guide, hostess guide (including a recipe for a tasty snack from each country), and ideas for action. This book will lead you and your group into a deeper discovery of world issues that need our prayer, uncover what the Bible has to say about them, and learn how to act in response. Each session includes a way to create an international experience to make every gathering unforgettable.
This book would be good for monthly mission accents in your ladies group or church. It also could be adapted for teens/children’s programming, or be used as a mission’s conference event in your local church or conference.
